I established my soft furnishing business in 2009.
I began my journey before 2009 by taking an extensive training course with The National Design Academy. Working with their professional designers provided me with the extra knowledge to grow my design skills and to be able to construct beautiful hand sewn curtains and other window dressings from very traditional swags and tails to contemporary roman blinds .
I have always loved the use of colour in the home as a way to bring out individual personality. This is such a large part of the decision making process when you are choosing new curtains or blinds that I take absolute delight in spending time with my clients going through samples and ideas. I am happy to offer advice on colours and fabrics whilst listening carefully to your ideas and colour preferences are so that you can create the look and atmosphere that is suited to your home and lifestyle. You have to fall in love with the design, colour and atmosphere that the fabric will bring to your home since you will live with your curtains or blinds for many years to come.
I always take care to work within a clients budget and timescale realising that both are important to a good working relationship.
I am now supported in the business by John, my husband, who is involved in behind the scenes work and is now part of the measuring team.
